A government hospital in Kuantan separated its ambulance route from visitor traffic with a dedicated barrier lane, so emergency vehicles now reach the emergency department in under 5 seconds instead of queueing behind visitor parking.

Challenge
One entrance served ambulances, staff, outpatients and visitors. During visiting hours the queue could delay an arriving ambulance by more than two minutes, and cash payment at the exit caused disputes at the end of every visiting period.
Solution
The approach was rebuilt into an ambulance and staff lane with a white-listed ANPR boom barrier and a dedicated ambulance override input, plus two visitor lanes using BRX-ANPR-4S cameras with automatic charging on exit and card or QR payment at a kiosk. Barrier status is repeated to the security desk.
Result
Ambulance and staff vehicles clear the entrance in under 5 seconds with no ticket transaction, exit queueing at the end of visiting hours fell by more than half, and the hospital has an accurate plate-based count for its 380 visitor bays.
