Project Case — Industrial Park RFID Boom Barrier

An industrial park in Seremban issued long-range UHF tags to 1,100 tenant vehicles, so tenant and contractor traffic now clears the park's three entrances without stopping while non-registered vehicles are diverted to a visitor lane.

Challenge
One guard post per entrance checked windscreens manually at shift changeover, producing queues of 20 or more vehicles onto the main road at 08:00 and 17:00. The park also had no way to tell tenant vehicles from unauthorised ones outside working hours.
Solution
Three entrances received BRX-8000 heavy-duty barriers with BRX-RFID-UHF300 readers mounted at 2.2 metres and reading windscreen tags at up to 6 metres. The 1,100 tenant and contractor tags are enrolled centrally, visitor vehicles take a QR pass at the guard house, and all passages are logged with tag ID and timestamp.
Result
Shift-changeover queues onto the main road were eliminated, average lane clearance is about 3 seconds, and the park office can now audit exactly which vehicles entered after hours instead of relying on a guard's handwritten log.
