A 520-home gated community in Subang Jaya automated its main sliding gate with a BRX heavy-duty operator and infrared safety photocells, removing the need for a guard to open and close the gate by hand at every vehicle movement.

Challenge
The main entrance gate was operated manually by a guard, which meant every resident vehicle waited for the gate to be pushed open, and the gate was left open overnight on several occasions because there was no automatic close.
Solution
We fitted a BRX heavy-duty sliding gate operator rated for a 520-home traffic volume, with infrared safety photocells on both sides of the track, automatic close after a configurable dwell time, battery backup for short outages, and two-channel remote control for the guard house. Obstacle detection reverses the gate immediately.
Result
Residents now enter without waiting for a guard, the gate closes automatically after every movement instead of being left open, and the manual gate handling that occupied most of a guard's shift has been eliminated.
