Project Case — Office Tower ANPR Barrier, Kuala Lumpur

BAROXON® automated three car-park entries and two exits of a 38-storey Grade-A office tower in Kuala Lumpur with ANPR boom barriers, cutting average entry time from 22 seconds to 4 seconds and removing the morning-peak queue that used to spill onto the public service road.

Challenge
Both inbound lanes shared a single ticketing machine, so the 08:00–09:30 peak backed up more than 120 metres into the public road. Security staff hand-logged visitor plates, and 1,200 paper ticket stubs were issued every working day, with no reliable record of which vehicle was on site.
Solution
We installed three BRX-6000 heavy-duty boom barriers with a 0.6–1.5 second opening time, each paired with a BRX-ANPR-4S licence-plate camera reading Malaysian and Singaporean plates at up to 30 km/h. The 620 monthly pass holders were white-listed for free-flow entry; visitor access is issued by QR and the site access platform receives every event over TCP/IP, with dry-contact fallback for the fire-alarm interlock.
Result
Entry throughput rose from 164 to 480 vehicles per hour per lane, average entry time fell 82% from 22 to 4 seconds, and pass holders now enter without stopping. Paper-stub consumption dropped to zero and the operator has a searchable plate record for every entry and exit.
