A private hospital in Kuala Lumpur combined ANPR with three boom barriers so ambulances and staff reach the emergency bay without queueing, while visitor parking is billed automatically from the plate record.

Challenge
The single entrance served ambulances, staff, outpatients and visitors through one lane, and the ticketing machine created queues that occasionally delayed an arriving ambulance. Cash payment at exit also caused disputes and slow releases at the end of visiting hours.
Solution
We separated the approach into an ambulance and staff lane with a white-listed ANPR boom barrier, plus two visitor lanes using BRX-ANPR-4S cameras that open on plate read and close the parking charge automatically on exit, with payment by card or QR at the payment kiosk. Ambulance detection overrides the barrier through a dedicated input.
Result
Ambulance and staff vehicles now clear the entrance in under 5 seconds with no ticket transaction, visitor queueing at the end of visiting hours fell by more than half, and the hospital gained an accurate plate-based occupancy figure for its 420 visitor bays.
