An airside service-vehicle checkpoint near Sepang uses BRX-SG1200 high-speed barrier gates with a 0.6-second opening time, so authorised airport vehicles clear the lane in about 4 seconds while every plate is still recorded.

Challenge
The airside checkpoint had to process 1,100 service-vehicle movements on a busy day. The previous barriers opened in 3.5 seconds, queuing pushback tractors and catering trucks at the perimeter, and the speed of checks directly affected the airport's on-time performance.
Solution
We supplied BRX-SG1200 high-speed barrier gates with brushless DC motors, a 0.6-second opening and closing time, and a duty cycle rated for continuous peak-hour operation. Each lane pairs the gate with a licence-plate camera and an airside permit white-list, and the controller reports gate status to the security operations centre over the airport network.
Result
The lane now clears in about 4 seconds instead of 12, rated for up to 900 vehicle movements per hour per lane in peak conditions, with 100% of movements plate-logged and no unauthorised vehicle recorded entering the airside zone.
